Fort Worth Water Gardens Improvements

As part of safety modifications to the Fort Worth Water Gardens, the Freese and Nichols design team faced this challenge: Could they modify a landscape noted for its “palpable sense of danger” yet retain its original sensibility? Could they retain Philip Johnson’s vision as they protected visitors? The qualities of water – quiet, dancing and raucous – still mesmerize at the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
