Bob Herchert

Chairman of the Board

Bob Herchert served as President and CEO of Freese and Nichols from 1990 to 2001, before becoming Chairman of the Board. He led the creation of many of the company’s current management institutions including: lead team, which acts as an executive steering committee; the human resources group; continuous improvement program; the annual employee survey; and Freese and Nichols University, which provides professional education and career growth training for employees and clients.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with a master’s degree in public administration, Bob was a municipal manager for 14 years, including seven years as city manager for the City of Fort Worth. He is active in professional and civic organizations, including as board member and past chairman of the board of the Texas Association of Business and Chamber of Commerce, board member and past chair of the North Texas Commission, the Texas City Management Association and the International City Management Association.
