Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President

Ron Lemons joined Freese and Nichols in 1973. An internationally-recognized authority on dams, Ron has led many large multi-faceted water resources projects, mentoring both experienced and younger engineers in technical areas and outstanding client service. As Chief Operating Officer, he has provided direction for development of processes and systems in a comprehensive approach to project management and technical excellence. 

Ron received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been president of the Texas Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and of the United States Society on Dams and has been honored with selection as a Diplomate Water Resources Engineer by the Environmental and Water Resources Institute. He chairs the Committee on Global Climate Change and Dams, Reservoirs and the Associated Water Resources for the International Commission on Large Dams.
