Shabay to Speak at Texas American Planning Association Conference
27 September, 2011Freese and Nichols’ Associate Wendy Shabay, AICP, will speak at two sessions for the upcoming Texas American Planning Association Annual Conference on October 5-7, 2011 in Austin, Texas. In each session, Wendy and a municipal client will discuss successful city planning.
In the first session titled Successful Planning – The City/Consultant Dialogue and How it Worked in Burleson’s Comprehensive Plan Development, Wendy and Shailaja Roos, City of Burleson Director of Community Development, will discuss the expectations, process and lessons learned from Burleson’s Comprehensive Plan Project.
Wendy will also be speaking at a session titled Small Area Planning – Implementing Aledo’s First Strategic Plan with Ken Pfeifer, City Administrator for City of Aledo. Wendy and Ken will participate on a panel with several cities discussing how to plan for small cities.
