Freese and Nichols was retained by Chesapeake Energy to provide engineering support for development of over 270 natural gas wells across the 18,000-acre DFW Airport property. Services included route development and permitting for more than 35 miles of gas gathering and produced water pipelines in cooperation with DFW Airport’s planning, operations and environmental departments.
FNI also evaluated alternative sources of water supply to support the development program including potable supplies from the airport's system and surrounding communities, as well as reclaimed wastewater from Fort Worth or TRA. FNI then designed the water supply system including 10 miles of fresh water piping and six earthen frac pits, each with 12MG capacity.
