Freese and Nichols designed this 3.8-mile arterial roadway with a total of four bridges, including one over IH-35W and Union Pacific Railroad. Efforts included alignment studies, roadway design, TxDOT and Union Pacific Railroad coordination, right-of-way acquisition, bridge and retaining wall design, utility relocations, 3-D animated visualizations and environmental permitting.

FNI designed a new bridge spanning over the IH-35W main lanes and frontage roads. The project included the design of a 360-foot, four-lane divided bridge, approach roadways and MSE retaining walls in accordance with TxDOT standards. FNI also provided extensive public involvement support, including four public meetings and newsletters to update property owners.
