Brian Coltharp

Next month, the WateReuse Association will host its 29th Annual WateReuse Symposium in Dallas. The event allows water professionals to “learn about the latest innovations in water recycling and desalination” and to “find solutions to critical water supply issues.”

Freese and Nichols will attend the Sept. 7-10 event and will be in booth #17. Be sure to stop by and speak with our team members there or at one of our presentations:

Sunday, Sept. 7

  • 2:00 p.m. – “Even a Good Problem Needs a Solution: When Customers Want Too Much Reuse” Richard Weatherly, P.E., Freese and Nichols, with Kristine Ondrias, City of Kerrville [Track B1 – Water Reuse Planning: Overcoming Obstacles]

Tuesday, Sept. 9

  • 4:00 p.m. – “Starting Up DPR – Special Challenges” David Sloan, P.E., BCEE, Freese and Nichols [Track B9 – Online, Real-Time Monitoring for Direct Potable Reuse – Part 2]

Freese and Nichols is proud to partner with the Association as a Platinum level event sponsor. We support the organization’s mission to advance the beneficial and efficient uses of high-quality, locally produced, sustainable water sources. Communicating the importance of alternative water supplies is critical to the advancement of innovations in water planning that will drive where our water comes from in the future. To assist their education and outreach efforts, the Association produced a short video – The Ways of Water – explaining the water cycle and sustainable water supplies.

The organization encourages anyone who is interested to share the video on their own website and social media pages to help spread the word about alternative water supplies.
