A first for Freese and Nichols, 3 will present at NOMA conference
For the first time ever, Freese and Nichols will have a team exhibit at the National Organization of Minority Architects conference.
Shad Comeaux, Alexis Garcia and Tiffany McLeod will present “Beyond the Building, Keeping Urban Design In Mind” at the 45th NOMA Convention and Expo Oct. 11-14 in Houston.

The session will tackle the importance of urban design by identifying the most impactful elements that should be taken into consideration when designing a building or site.
Attendees will:
- Understand the role of urban design in the development of the built environment
- Understand the importance of incorporating the design of the surrounding area when designing a building site
- Identify the most impactful elements of urban design and how they influence placemaking
- Understand how urban design elements can be implemented to create a more comprehensive design by examining case studies
The conference’s theme is “MultipliCITY: Our Abstract Composition.”
