Train Depot Restoration, City of Mineola
Freese and Nichols provided professional engineering and architecture services, as well as assistance in obtaining TxDOT funding and the approval of the Texas Historic Commission, for a historic restoration of the Mineola Depot to its 1901 style and appearance. The restored 2,500-square-foot depot provides services for Amtrak and Greyhound passengers as well as houses a transportation museum, which interprets the City's railroad history and promotes interest in the community.
