Water for 2060 Award
Oklahoma Water Resources Board
The City of Edmond's Northwest Complex EST project was honored by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, with the Inaugural Water for 2060 Excellence Award in the public water supply category. The board commended the project’s building of a new water tower adjacent to an already existing storage tank to allow usable water to be captured and recirculated when the tower is drained. The effort will save an estimated 1 million gallons of potable water every year. The tank more than doubled the city’s water capacity.
