Bailey Keller Receives AWWA 5 Under 35 Outstanding Young Professionals National Award

Congratulations to Bailey Keller, Water/Wastewater Master Planning, Pearland, for receiving the 5 Under 35 Outstanding Young Professional National Award from The American Water Works Association.
The award recognizes and honors young professional members of AWWA who have demonstrated outstanding service to their section or association through leadership and active participation in AWWA YP programs. There are only five recipients annually for the award.
Bailey has been involved with the Southeast Chapter of Texas AWWA since 2022. She has served in numerous roles, including Membership chair, Young Professionals co-chair, and Secretary. In her roles, she collaborates with professionals in the drinking water industry to network and volunteer in their local community.
Her award was presented at the 2025 ACE Conference in Denver. Richard Weatherly, Freese and Nichols Divisional Business Development Lead, received the award on her behalf.
Prior to this award, Bailey won two additional YP awards in 2025. She received the Southeast Chapter of TAWWA Young Engineer of the Year Award, presented at the Houston Engineers Week celebration, and the Texas Section of TAWWA Outstanding Young Professional Award, presented at the Texas Water conference.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition from AWWA and incredibly grateful to be among such inspiring emerging leaders,” said Bailey. “This award reflects the support of mentors and peers who’ve guided me, and I’m excited to keep investing in the next generation of water professionals.”
At Freese and Nichols, Bailey is a Project Manager in the Western Gulf Coast’s Water/Wastewater Master Planning group. Her work revolves around water and wastewater model development and calibration, hydraulic analysis, population and demand/flow projections and CIP development for municipal clients.
