A team of 29 Freese and Nichols employees and their family members flooded the banks of the Trinity River early on Saturday, Sept. 20 for the 23rd Annual Trinity River Trash Bash, hosted by Tarrant Regional Water District. Our volunteers, equipped with gloves, grabbers and generous spirits, collected trash along the Riverside Trailhead at Fourth Street in Fort Worth, Texas. Thank you to Karl Hoffman, Environmental Science, Fort Worth, who organized our office participation.

The Houston office wore pink or pink ribbons in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month on Thursday, Oct. 23 and enjoyed a quick pink cupcake break. Rita Anderson, Water Resources Design, came up with the idea and staff (including some reluctant guys) wore pink, even it was a ribbon that Rita and Dorothy Bergesen, Program Management, created.

Administrative Assistant Adrianna Moten says the cupcakes tasted amazing with pretty pink icing and she hopes Houston has started a trend for other offices to get involved in next year.
