Don James, Water Resources Design, Fort Worth, presented about the Rock Cycle to 263 sixth graders in eight classes at Wedgwood Sixth Grade School last month. Don covered the main geological concepts and the group responded with lots of questions.

Earlier this year, our Fort Worth office held a Blue Zones Project cooking demo featuring executive chef Juan Rodriguez of Magdalena's Cocina, a catering service specializing in special events and pop-up dinners. Juan prepared a three-course meal featuring healthy choices of frijoles de olla (Mexican bean stew), mushroom “chorizo” taco with goat feta/lime fennel salad, and red quinoa and chia seed salad.

In February and March, Fort Worth employees made donations to The Women's Center of Tarrant County. In an effort overseen by Administrative Assistant Melody Allen, we supplied The Women's Center with:

  • 281 individual snack packages
