More than 100 people were on hand Tuesday, April 22, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark a major milestone in the 2008 Parker County Transportation Bond Program: the completion of the Ric Williamson Memorial Highway interchange at Interstate 20. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is accepting funding applications for its HSIP program. This funding can be used to improve the safety of intersections on Texas roadways. All roadways having a crash history are eligible. 

$155 million is available statewide. The local match is 10 percent. Freese and Nichols attended the TxDOT webinar on March 20 and is up-to-date on this grant opportunity.
