Application Period Open for Drought Resiliency Project and Drought Contingency Planning Plan Grants

The Bureau of Reclamation is requesting applications for its Drought Resiliency Project and Drought Contingency Planning Plan Grants. Applications are due April 11, 2016 and require 50 cost share.

Projects submitted under the Drought Resiliency Project Grants should “help communities prepare for and respond to drought” by ultimately developing community resiliency, especially in terms of their water supply. There is approximately $3 million of federal funds available under the program, with up to $300,000 targeted per project.

The Drought Contingency Planning Plan Grants help communities develop or update a plan designed to “build long-term resiliency” to address drought scenarios. There is approximately $2 million in federal funds available under the program, with up to $200,000 assistance available per project.
