Asset Management Workshops Planned for Nov. 2, 3 in Central Texas

URISA Texas will host two workshops on how to develop an asset management system to improve performance, reduce long-term costs and maximize returns on investment.

The first will be Nov. 2 at the Esri office in San Antonio, and the second will be Nov. 3 at the Freese and Nichols Austin office. Early registration is open through Oct. 15.

Allen Ibaugh, the CEO of DTS, a technology company that specializes in Enterprise Asset Management, GIS and web-based services, will lead the workshop.

The one-day workshop will cover several aspects of developing an asset management system. More specifically, it will include strategy and planning, data collection methods, software solutions, information management and decision support tools, evaluation and performance measures, GASB34 reporting and life cycle costs.

The workshop is geared toward utility, transportation, engineering, planning and environmental managers.
