EPA Accepting Projects Under WIFIA Program

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now requesting Letters of Interest for water infrastructure projects across the country for consideration under the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program with as much as $5.5 billion in loans available.

Those seeking WIFIA credit assistance must submit a letter of interest by July 6.

WIFIA credit can be used for a wide range of projects, including drinking water treatment and distribution projects; desalination, aquifer recharge and water recycling projects; and drought prevention, reduction or mitigation projects.

Freese and Nichols is familiar with multiple water infrastructure funding sources and can help you navigate the funding process. For more information, contact your Freese and Nichols project manager or Funding Specialist Jennifer Wasinger.
