Freese and Nichols Hosts International Asset Management Course

Last month, Freese and Nichols hosted The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certificate Course and Exam. The course was designed by Asset Management experts and consultants, and was taught by an experienced practitioner from Great Britain. During the first four days of the class, candidates prepared for the specific demands of the IAM Certificate examination.

On the fifth day, armed with knowledge and comprehension of asset management principles and practices, participants took a certification exam. Certification demonstrates that these professionals understand the context and scale of the asset management challenge and are equipped with the basic knowledge, concepts and approaches they need to be able to make a useful contribution from an early stage.

Twenty-one guests joined us for a five-day training and certification exam, and of the 21 registrants, 12 were representatives from  client organizations. Participants included:

  • North Texas Municipal Water District
  • Trinity River Authority of Texas
  • Tarrant Regional Water District
  • City of Fort Worth, Texas
  • North Texas Municipal Water District
  • DFW Airport
  • City of Frisco, Texas
  • City of Portland, Oregon
  • International Atomic Energy Agency from Vienna, Austria

Everyone met the requirements for the course and were certified. Freese and Nichols also has plans for hosting the course again next year.
