Patak to Present at ASFPM National Conference

Freese and Nichols Associate Kim Patak, Water Resources Design, will present on May 4 with the City of Austin at the Association of State Floodplain Managers National Conference in Kansas City, MO.  

Their presentation, Community Benefits of Defining an Urban Overland Flowpath, will discuss Austin’s current Urban (Local) Flood Hazard Mitigation efforts, development policy for drainage analysis and potential need to evolve using urban flood hazard mapping.

A case study of the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Transit Oriented Development (MLK TOD) area will also be presented, including lessons learned, current coordination efforts and Public-Private Partnership (P3) status.

FNI and the City of Austin will present at the conference between 4-5:30 p.m. during Concurrent Session J8 in room 3501-D.
