Robert L. Nichols Professional Service Award: Stephanie Buckingham

Congratulations to Stephanie Buckingham, Organizational Development Specialist in Freese and Nichols’ Fort Worth office, for receiving our Robert L. Nichols Professional Service Award for her commitment to professional development.

Stephanie is an active member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) where she serves on the Program Advisory Committee for the past three years. Her duties involve reviewing and providing feedback for over 200 abstracts for the ATD’s International Conference. She also finalizes the workshops, speaks at the conference orientation, and provides answers, direction, and opinions as a host for the conference.

“She always responds quickly and often drops what she’s doing to help others… she has been a wealth of knowledge,” said Emily Tall, Freese and Nichols’ Safety Coordinator. Stephanie is constantly working towards self-improvement and development in and out of the office. For this, she embodies our LEADS values, especially L for Learn Continuously and S for Serve Always.

The award is named after Bob Nichols, Freese and Nichols’ president from 1988-1991, a nationally recognized environmental engineer and advocacy for ethics in engineering. In addition to his technical expertise, his leadership as the Texas Society and National President of the National Society of Professional Engineers led to significant changes to the Society’s Code of Ethics.
