St. Jacques' Presentation Strikes Chord with Community

The Rotary Club of Nacogdoches invited Kevin St. Jacques, Urban Planning + Design, Dallas, as guest speaker to a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

He presented a program on livable communities, with emphasis on complete streets that incorporate safe bicycle and pedestrian usage. Kevin is an active member of the Complete Streets Coalition National Speaker's Bureau.

His presentation was well received by Rotary members, and he was featured in a story on Nacogdoches' KTRE 9 news about growing public concern for cyclist and pedestrian safety in the community.

Kevin (center) was presented with a plaque at the end of the meeting, from Ron Collins, Club President (left) and Kent Hutchinson, Program Chairman (right).
