WaterSMART: Water and Energy Efficiency Grant

The Bureau of Reclamation is requesting applications for its WaterSMART Water and Energy Efficiency Grant for Fiscal Year 2013. Projects submitted for funding should seek to conserve and use water more efficiently, increase the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency, complement ongoing efforts to address water supply sustainability, or carry out other activities to address climate-related impacts on water.

The estimated total program funding available is $21 million. Applicants can receive up to $1.5 million for their projects and must provide 50 percent matching funds. The application deadline is January 17, 2013.
