Wendy Shabay, Freese and Nichols Urban Planning Group Assistant Manager, was elected president-elect of the Texas American Planning Association. She will remain president-elect for two years before becoming presdent. This is the first time that the Texas American Planning Association has had a completely female executive board.

Brandon Gonzalez has been elected as the Young Planning Group representative to the North Central Texas American Planning Association (NCTAPA) Executive Board for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Mr. Gonzalez served as Networking Coordinator for NCTAPA during the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

Wendy Shabay, Freese and Nichols Urban Planning Assistant Group Manager, was recently elected President of the Texas American Planning Association. Ms. Shabay will serve two years as President-Elect, two years as President and two years as Past President. This significant achievement will allow her to continue to take an active role in planning in the State.
