The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is offering five programs, together forming the Local Park Grant Program, to assist local units of government (cities, counties, river authorities, municipal utility districts and other special districts) with the acquisition and/or development of public recreation areas and facilities. The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Program makes available federal funds to State, Local and Tribal Governments to implement and sustain cost-effective measures that reduce or eliminate risk of flood damage to buildings insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
