The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) recently published a request for applications for its Regional Facility Planning Grant. The planning grant can be used to evaluate feasible options for regional water supply and/or wastewater facility needs. The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) recently published a request for applications for their Flood Protection Planning (FPP) Grant. The FPP can be used to develop flood protection studies and/or plans for watersheds to address flooding in a watershed.

Freese and Nichols has been successful in assisting our clients in obtaining this grant. The FPP grant provides 50 percent matching funds. The total available funding allocated to this program is $900,000.

At this time, the categories for which DWSRF funding has been spoken include disadvantaged communities, very small communities, and green projects. Funds are still available in the mainstream DWSRF.
