Drought conditions have once again shown a slight deterioration overall as compared to the previous week. Dry conditions continued to dominate in the Desert Southwest and in parts of the Central Rockies. Farther east across the Great Plains, scattered thunderstorms led to some improvement. Overall, the eastern half of the United States continues to remain mostly free of drought conditions entirely.
