​Shad Comeaux, Urban Planning + Design, Pearland, spoke to nearly 70 Sam Jamison Middle School students about his work on Friday, March 13. The school held a career day for fifth and sixth graders with about 25 professionals speaking about their career paths. Shad’s wife is a fifth grade math teacher at the school.

Shad's presentation provided an overview of urban planning, examples of projects, and the educational path needed to make it a career. He said the students asked excellent questions and seemed to understand what it takes to develop cities in which they live.

On the day Port Arthur's new City Manager, Brian McDougal, began his new position, Freese and Nichols was approved for a new project in Port Arthur.
