Engineering Excellence Silver Award

American Council of Engineering Companies of Texas

The Clearfork Main Street Bridge won a Silver Medal in the Structural Systems category in the 2015 Engineering Excellence Awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Texas.

Only the second bridge of its type in Texas, this unique four-lane split bridge spans 550 feet over the Trinity River in southwest Fort Worth. Addressing the concerns of a wide range of stakeholders, including the Corps of Engineers, river advocacy groups, public artists, property owners and pedestrian groups, this bridge features a separate suspended pedestrian bridge below to give pedestrians an important access point across the river.
