Members of Freese and Nichols joined Irving officials and residents in marking the reopening of a residential bridge on April 11.

It was the second and final residential bridge that had been taken out as part of the Delaware Creek Channel Improvements project’s first phase.

The ceremony was also attended by several staff members of the Capital Improvements Program department, including the City Engineer Wayne Lee and Director Casey Tate as well as two council members. Freese and Nichols Transportation Engineer Steve James, third from left, helped cut the ribbon at the ceremony.

The project cost of the first phase is $11 million and nearing completion. The total for all of the phases is around $50 million.
