Freese and Nichols Internship Program Receives National Recognition for Fourth Consecutive Year
Freese and Nichols has once again been named among the nation’s Top 100 Internship Programs, as recognized by WayUp and Yello, the organizers of National Intern Day. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Freese and Nichols has been recognized with this honor.
The selection was determined through a combination of public voting (30%) and review by a panel of experts (70%). The recognition affirms the strong tradition and ongoing evolution of our internship program, which serves as a vital bridge for welcoming new graduates into our company.
“Investing in our early careers programs is an intentional park of our company hiring strategy,” Freese and Nichols Chief Human Resources Officer JaNette Bridgewater said. “Each year, we plan for how we can improve the program to make it meaningful and engaging for our interns. I am so excited for the recognition of the program.”
In a LinkedIn post, Talent Acquisition Manager Jim Riney said, “Our internship program isn’t something that HR does. It’s something our leaders do. We just get to do the fun stuff like tell everyone about it.”
Our internship program isn’t something that HR does. It’s something our leaders do.
This year, we welcomed 103 interns to 22 Freese and Nichols offices. They spent the summer learning skills in our many practice areas and working on projects for our clients.
At the beginning of the summer, we hosted our inaugural Intern Kickoff at our headquarters in Fort Worth. Interns from across multiple offices gathered for a three-day experience packed with interactive activities, hands-on learning and career-building opportunities designed to help them connect with the company, our leadership team, employees and one another.
The inaugural event was a success with 89 of our interns attending. In a post-event survey, interns shared that the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with their peers, with one noting they even discovered fellow interns from their own university.
“The [inaugural Intern] Kickoff event was a great way for other interns to network personally and to showcase Freese and Nichols’ commitment to its interns and the investment it is putting in for potential employees,” one intern shared in the survey.
To our class of ’26, thank you for putting excellence in action.
