Freese and Nichols’ Mentee Firm Graduates TxDOT DRIVE Program

Freese and Nichols’ mentee EDGE Engineering, an emerging consulting firm specializing in drainage, recently celebrated their completion of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) DRIVE program at an Aug. 12 graduation ceremony.
Through this two-year mentorship relationship, Freese and Nichols provided EDGE with best practice guidance in strategic planning, project management, finance, human resources and other small business operations.
What is the DRIVE Program?
DRIVE is a mentor-mentee program that connects emerging professional services firms with established firms to share their experiences, expertise and resources. Participating firms help create a stronger networking environment and cultivate relationships between larger and smaller firms. The program aims to build the mentee’s capacity to compete for professional services contract opportunities with TxDOT, other DOTs or local governments.
