Funding on Tap for the North Texas Transportation Alternative Program (TAP)

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) anticipates opening the Call for Projects for its Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.

The purpose of this program is to provide funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects (including Transportation Enhancements and Safe Routes to Schools). There is $27,830,000 available through the program (FY 2014 and 2015), with 34% for western sub-regions and 66% for eastern sub-regions. The deadline to submit to NCTCOG is May 30, 2014. NCTCOG will host an application workshop on Friday, Feb. 28.
