Hoffman Receives Wetland Certification

Robert Chambers

Congratulations to Karl Hoffman, Environmental Science, Fort Worth, who has been certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) by the Society of Wetland Scientists.

A PWS must have at least five years’ professional work experience,
which can include graduate-level education; professional
recommendations from other wetland scientists; and 15 semester hours of specialized education in wetland science. Karl’s professional experience includes conducting wetland identification and delineations; jurisdictional determinations of waters of the U.S.; and Section 404 permitting.

Karl is our fourth PWS, joining Steve Watters and Michael Votaw,
Environmental Science, Fort Worth, and Rick Zarate, Environmental Science, Dallas.
