Irby Receives AICP Student Award
Congratulations to Chelsea Irby, Urban Planning + Design, Dallas, who received the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) 2015 Outstanding Planning Student Award. She accepted the honor at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs (CAPPA) awards banquet on Wednesday, April 22.
The award is by professor nomination only. The AICP Outstanding Student Awards recognizes outstanding attainment in the study of planning by students graduating from a Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) accredited planning program. One student is selected from each accredited university.
Dr. Ardeshir Anjomani (pictured right) nominated Chelsea and is the chair of her thesis committee. He also taught Dan Sefko, Freese and Nichols Associate, at UTA. This is Chelsea’s last semester of classes, and all she has to do is finish her thesis this summer to graduate in August with a Master’s in City and Regional Planning.
