Freese and Nichols Facilitates City Managers Consortium
Last month, Freese and Nichols and the North Texas City Management Association hosted and facilitated the inaugural City Managers' Continuous Improvement Roundtable at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie. More than 80 city managers, assistant city managers and directors from municipalities throughout North Texas attended.
The Roundtable's goal is to share best practices for continuous improvement and performance excellence strategies by municipalities on a quarterly or semi-annual basis. The keynote speaker was Dr. Harry Hertz, director of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program. Also speaking were:
- Randle Harwood, Planning and Development Director, City of Fort Worth, who covered streamlining development processes.
- The City of Tyler's City Manager, Mark McDaniel, and Lean Sigma Program Director, Guillermo Garcia, who discussed Tyler's Performance Excellence Program.
