Pence Honored as 2011 Leadership Fort Worth Fellow

Robert Pence, P.E., BCEE, was honored as the 2011 Leadership Fort Worth (LFW) Fellow on March 3, 2011 at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel. Bob serves as President and CEO of Freese and Nichols.

Leadership Fellows are individuals who represent outstanding leadership in the community. LFW selected Bob for his “vision, involvement, and commitment to worthy goals.” The nomination cited Bob’s activities as a community leader: Bob has championed many public education projects and currently chairs the Fort Worth Chamber’s Stay in School campaign and the North Texas Commission Board of Directors. The group has also noted that under Bob’s leadership, Freese and Nichols became the first engineering/architecture firm in the nation to be honored with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

The purpose of Leadership Fort Worth is to provide Fort Worth with diverse and enlightened leadership through educational opportunities and training efforts. LFW foundation is based on the concept of community leaders functioning as trustees and committing themselves to making their communities better places to live.
