We Welcome the City of Irving to the Baldrige Family
Freese and Nichols extends congratulations to the City of Irving, which this week was named a recipient of the 2012 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
Irving is the first city in Texas to receive the award and only the second in the nation. The City describes the Baldrige as recognition of its streamlined operations and strong fiscal management, which have saved the City more than $40 million and 50,000 staff hours since 2006.
Drawing on our experience that culminated in the 2010 Baldrige Award, Freese and Nichols has worked with Irving as a mentor through the Baldrige journey. Freese and Nichols helped review Irving's initial application for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence, which uses the Baldrige criteria; helped them practice for their site visits; and provided other guidance during the process. Freese and Nichols Chief Financial Officer Cindy Milrany emphasizes that our relationship with Irving has been a two-way street as we continue to help each other by sharing best practices.
Irving is part of a broad group of clients whom Freese and Nichols serves with Baldrige outreach. Others include the City of Tyler, Town of Prosper, and the Weatherford and Fort Worth independent school districts.
