This project is a continuation of the state mandated Water Resources Planning for Region C. The result was the 2011 Region C Water Plan, which was incorporated into the 2012 State Water Plan, published by the Texas Water Development Board. Key activities performed in the development of regional plans include population and water demand projections, evaluation of reliable supply from current water sources, evaluation of potential future supply projects, development of conceptual designs and cost estimates of plans to meet water needs, legislative and regulatory recommendations to implement the plans, and involvement of the public in the water planning process.
This study included Texas Water Development Board funding.
