Freese and Nichols provided construction management and materials testing services for a 40-MGD expansion of the existing Rolling Hills Water Treatment plant. The work was completed under four separate construction contracts and included a 200-MGD ozone disinfection system, a new filter backwash system, a 500,000-gallon water tower, clearwell improvements, renovation of four sedimentation basins and 20 filters, and a 200-MGD pump station. FNI also provided construction expertise during the design phase through peer reviews, cost estimating, and specialty ozone power studies.
The project was completed on time and prior to the City experiencing their peak summer production requirements.
