The purpose of this project was to create a plan for a pedestrian friendly downtown, University of Central Oklahoma campus and residential area. The recommended improvements support the viability, development and connectivity of downtown. This plan includes downtown strategies to guide policy creation, and assist municipal staff, decision-makers and stakeholders on the physical growth of downtown Edmond.
The planning process will involve the community, gathering feedback and creating a plan that will be supported by the community at large. The project is not intended to only focus on the physical development of the City, but also the overall vision and goals for downtown as a livable and economically vibrant part of the community.
Planning services include engagement of the public, assessment of existing conditions, analysis of the market, creation of a clear vision and goals, and recommendations for urban design, uses, image and connectivity.
