Freese and Nichols updated Fort Worth's Wastewater Master Plan for extended retail and wholesale wastewater service in high-growth areas. The project included rebuilding the wastewater model using the City's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and incorporating Maximo work order system results and GIS data into a comprehensive Risk-Based Assessment Program for the City. The Plan involved detailed capacity evaluation of all wastewater infrastructure in 24 targeted redevelopment areas throughout the City and recommended upsizing.
The collection system plan, treatment facilities plan and risk-based assessment plan will be integrated to develop a phased Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) in five-year increments through the 2030 planning period.
Freese and Nichols originally completed the City’s comprehensive wastewater management program in late 1999.
