Freese and Nichols designed improvements to Glade Road from Martin Parkway to Heritage Avenue. The roadway was widened near Heritage Avenue to match the existing five-lane section of Glade Road east of Heritage Avenue. The remainder of the roadway was reconstructed as a two-lane divided street with left-turn lanes at each intersection. The design also included storm drains, culvert extensions, water line replacements, a 10-foot concrete bike path, traffic signal modifications, a city entrance monument and landscaping.
Freese and Nichols provided extensive public involvement support, including presentations at several public meetings and production of detailed exhibits for each landowner.
