Freese and Nichols designed the John T. Montford dam in the early 90's to provide a long-range water supply for the City of Lubbock. In 2008, Freese and Nichols designed the raw water transmission system to deliver water from Lake Alan Henry to the City of Lubbock. This project includes 50 miles of 42/48-inch diameter pipeline, a pump station at Lake Alan Henry rated for 36-MGD, and a booster pump station located in Post rated for 47-MGD. Freese and Nichols provided route selection, preliminary design, design, and construction management.
