The Lamar Institute of Technology master plan provides a vision for the physical environment to promote and support the institution’s academic values and goals. The plan is tailored to the current and future needs of LIT, detailing a functional and aesthetically pleasing campus as it develops throughout the future. The plan includes recommendations addressing new facilities, parking reconfiguration, land acquisition, open/green space, campus sustainability, wayfinding and signage, campus identity and vehicular circulation.
The master plan is divided into three phases to show logical expansion as funding is available, and will consist of four new facilities at campus capacity. The plan is a working document designed to provide the framework for current and future development of the campus environment, and is intended to provide LIT with a road map for capital improvement projects throughout the next decade and beyond.
