Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls is a four-year public university with approximately 6,100 students. Freese and Nichols was asked to provide a master plan update and planning consultation for proposed new construction on campus.
Freese and Nichols designed a master plan to include space utilization, acquisition, future development, landscape and pedestrian facilities, street closures, a parking plan, and a new main entrance for the campus. Renderings helped the University leadership provide a vision for its expanding campus and fundraising opportunities. The planning team studied the proposed location of a new business building through 3D visualization models. Conceptual design enhancements were generated as 3D models for Fowler Building, Ligon Building and Moffett library.
