Freese and Nichols evaluated alternatives to provide adequate ventilation, heating, corrosion and odor control to the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility Dewatering Facility (NRRRF) Dewatering Facility. Upon approval of the recommendations, Freese and Nichols prepared plans and specifications for the improvements, which included a new dedicated air handling unit, dehumidification equipment, installation of radiant unit heaters, supplemental exhaust fans, new split DX Air Conditioning Units, and miscellaneous demolition, architectural, structural, and electrical improvements. Programmable Logic Controller upgrades and improvements were included and coordinated as part of the project. Upon completion of the design, Freese and Nichols will assist Raleigh with advertisement, bid assistance and construction phase assistance.
