Freese and Nichols provided transportation improvement services for Ross Street in Rockwall included paving, drainage and utility improvements for 1,350 linear feet of an existing two-lane, asphalt road with open ditch drainage. The project consisted of removing the existing asphalt roadway, lowering the roadway profile to eliminate local drainage issues, and replacing residential asphalt roadway with a new concrete roadway including curb, gutter drainage and sidewalks. The project included 350 linear feet of alley construction and 350 linear feet of an offsite storm sewer system required to accommodate the drainage issues on the project. Renovations included replacing 2,360 feet of 18- to 36-inch storm sewer and 2,430 feet of eight-inch water line.
Freese and Nichols coordinated a public meeting for local residents and coordinated with TxDOT for the intersection of Ross Street and S.H. 205.
