Freese and Nichols is providing planning and design services for the relocation of municipal stormwater utilities associated with construction of the proposed Central City Bypass Channel. The channel will be constructed north of Downtown Fort Worth providing flood control and economic redevelopment opportunities. This joint project was conceived and funded by the Trinity River Vision Authority, made up of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tarrant Regional Water District and the City of Fort Worth. Freese and Nichols is also developing a master drainage plan and a stormwater design guidance manual for the Central City area.
