ASCE Texas Honors Ron Lemons for Lifetime Service
The Texas Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) honored Account Director and former Chief Operating Officer Ron Lemons for decades of service to the organization and to the profession of engineering.

Ron served as Texas Section President in 1999-2000. He has been an active member of the Fort Worth Branch and served as Chair of several Texas Section committees and the District 15 Council. He also served for several years as Vice President of Programs for the Texas Civil Engineering Foundation. The award also recognized Ron's service to the United States Society on Dams, the International Commission on Large Dams, the National Dam Safety Review Board and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials.
During his 45-year career at Freese and Nichols, Ron designed and managed many of Texas’ high-profile water supply projects, including Richland-Chambers Reservoir for the Tarrant Regional Water District and O.H. Ivie Reservoir for the Colorado River Municipal Water District. He was involved in five projects that received the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award from ASCE Texas, plus another that received the equivalent award from ASCE Wisconsin. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2002 to 2015.
