DFW Airport’s TRIP Team Receives CMAA-North Texas Award

July 05, 2018

Congratulations to DFW Airport and the Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program Team on their recent Construction Management Association of America-North Texas Award.

The team was recognized for their redesign and remodel of Terminal B at the airport, winning in the category of Transportation Project of the Year - Greater than $100 million.

More than nine million passengers stream through 45 gates at DFW International Airport’s Terminal B. This project added 10 new gates, revamped/streamlined passenger and luggage screening/handling/delivery, updated utilities services, redesigned concession spaces, improved lighting/climate control, and provided access to international services in the adjacent terminal. This project was executed in small phases while services throughout Terminal B continued and was substantially completed in March 2018.  Freese and Nichols personnel managed the planning, design and construction of this 7-year project.

David Schroeder, P.E., at right, also received the CMAA Volunteer of the Year for his community involvement at the awards ceremony.
